Higher education academic management
VPAAs are imbued with higher education academic management as their core
competency. VPAAs are both academicians in their respective fields, and as
administrators in their positions of authority.
More importantly, their mandate as VPAAs orient them as skilled in academic management in higher education.
Core competencies shape professional engagements.
As part of organizational protocols, VPAAs need to be trained to support their president or school. They need to be harnessed of their respective talents in the service of their positions, or even engage and work with CHED as the government’s regulatory agency for education. The Council must not be used or construed as a political arm to undermine school presidents or the CHED. This is in accord with the non-partisan nature of PECAA.
